Since 2016, the HWRL has been an Experimental Facility of the NSF funded Natural Hazards Engineering Research Project (NSF Award 2037914). The HWRL is aslo an associated test facility of the Pacific Marine Energy Center. From 2004 to 2014, the O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Lab (HWRL) was an Experimental Facility of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Project Network for Earthquake and Engineering Simulation (NEES).
