Dr. Surta’s interests lie in the structure-property relationships of advanced materials. His focus is on electroceramics; however, he has experience with a diverse range of materials and applications. After receiving his Ph.D. in Chemistry from OSU, he did postdoctoral research abroad at the University of Liverpool and with the Leverhulme Research Centre for Functional Materials Design, before returning to Corvallis. Now based in the College of Engineering, he collaborates with start-ups and industry partners translating fundamental materials science into new technologies.
