Biography
Tyler is a born and raised ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓian who began his college career in ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ(OSU) back in 2013. He graduated with his BS in chemical engineering in 2017 and his MS in 2019. Currently conducting research for the Herman group, Tyler is working on developing robust sensors with quantum dot materials. Throughout the work he has become proficient in several characterization techniques including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). In the future, Tyler hopes to create a high-resolution, room temperature, low cost radiation sensor while finishing up his PhD work.
