I’m an international student from Libya. I currently serve as the treasurer for the Middle Eastern Dance Association, where I help organize cultural events and promote community through dance. I also work as an intern in the Materials Synthesis and Characterization Lab, where I assist with equipment maintenance that contributes to thin-film deposition projects. When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy weightlifting, hiking, and boxing.
After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in semiconductor process engineering, focusing on sustainable device manufacturing and materials research.
My advice for incoming students is to stay curious and take advantage of every opportunity to get involved, both academically and socially. Joining clubs and research labs helps you learn new skills and also helps you find a sense of community on campus.
