In my free time I love to crochet, listen to music, and explore the outdoors!
I was part of Educational Opportunities Program my first year at OSU, and found such a great community and support there from both my peers and advisors. I am a member of the Society of American Foresters where I love to connect with my peers, network, and participate in fun forestry-related activities. I am also an ambassador for the Society of Women Engineers and it is one of my favorite ways to connect with other women and people in STEM and they host so many fun events!
I would love to pursue a career that combines Forest and Civil Engineering principles, with a focus in Soils, Hydrology, and Structural Design. I am particularly interested in bridges and watershed systems and how to integrate sustainability into management practices and product manufacturing. I just finished an internship at Starker Forests, where I gained hands-on experience in forest management practices and I had such great time!
Helpful Resources
Goblin Tools is an online website that offers eight free features that are incredibly helpful for a variety of different needs! It’s one of my favorite websites and is so helpful for those just finding their writing voice!
Curious about the features? Here’s a quick description of each one: The “Professor” tool explains anything! “Formalizer” ensures my emails have the right tone (with a sliding bar which tells it how much you want your chosen theme to influence your writing), while “Judge” tells me how my writing sounds! “Magic To Do” keeps my lists organized, “Compiler” manages my brain dumps, “Chef” plans my meals, “Estimator” tells me how long my tasks will take, and “Consultant” helps with decision-making.
