I’m an officer in the Sports Product Development Club, where I serve as the Chief Outreach Coordinator. In this role, I organize industry tours, connect members with professionals in the field, and help lead hands-on technical projects that use OSU’s engineering labs—especially in composites and manufacturing. Through this work, I’ve built strong industry relationships and developed practical experience with carbon-fiber processing, machining, and prototyping.
Beyond SPD, I’m also involved in Engineers Without Borders and the Society of Women Engineers. EWB allows me to contribute to community-focused engineering work, while SWE has given me valuable mentorship, academic support, and opportunities to connect with other women in STEM at ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State.
I’m pursuing MECOP and am excited to begin my upcoming internship rotations. In a previous internship, I conducted research on defects and damage in aerospace carbon-fiber components, which strengthened my interest in composites and non-destructive testing.
After graduation, I plan to work in materials and composites engineering, ideally focusing on NDT and structural integrity for aerospace or medical applications such as prosthetics. Long-term, I hope to lead large-scale projects that advance composite technology and improve the performance and reliability of next-generation products.
Outside of school, I love trail running and surfing. My best advice for incoming students is to take advantage of clubs, campus resources, and IM sports—not just for professional growth, but also to destress, build community, and find your place at OSU.
