Information for graduating students:
Parking permits are required Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., in A, B, or C lots, as well as in any ADA-accessible space.
Student Registration: Like completing your degree, there are a few steps to complete:
- Registration opens April 15 and closes June 2. Watch your in-box.
- This is a public event. Participants may be photographed/videoed.
- You MUST pre-register to participate.
- Check-in at Gill Coliseum on Friday, June 12 between 10-10:30 a.m.
- Please contact christina.olson@oregonstate.edu at least two weeks in advance should you or our guest need any special accommodations.
Other important details about MIME's Graduation Celebration:
- Students graduating in summer 2025, fall 2025, winter 2026, spring 2026 and summer 2026 are invited to participate.
- Students are encouraged to attend the School Celebration on June 12 and the on June 13. Diplomas are only awarded at the university ceremony on June 13.
- This is a cap and gown ceremony. Graduation caps and gowns can be purchased from the Beaver Store, or borrow one from a friend. Be sure to order an orange tassel. Graduate students must also purchase a hood.
Information for guests:
- Doors open around 9:30 a.m. Seating is first come, first served.
- The Clear Bag policy will be enforced. . If you bring a purse or bag that is not on
the approved bag list, you will be asked to return the bag to your car. - Do NOT bring these items to Gill:
- Balloons – minimum fine of $150/balloon
- Wrapped gifts
- Alcohol/drugs
- Please be advised, this is an athletics venue. Guest seating is not built for comfort.
- This is a public event. Participants may be photographed/videoed.
- There are no concessions during the graduation ceremony. Unopened bottled water are permitted.

International Guests:
- The Office of the Registrar can provide a Commencement Visa Letter to international students participating in the Commencement ceremony, in order for those students and/or their family members to obtain visas from their country's U.S. Embassy. The Commencement Visa Letter verifies the student's graduation status, ceremony date and attendance information, and a list of invited family members.
