¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ the Showcase

¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State Engineers are creating a better future here and now, through vital research that tackles some of humanity’s greatest challenges.

The Graduate Engineering Research Showcase offers an exciting glimpse of that future, presented by some of the brilliant, creative minds who are helping to make it happen. Student presenters receive expert coaching in communicating complex, technical ideas to a general audience through accessible language, live demonstrations, and visual aids.

The Student Experience

The Graduate Engineering Research Showcase offers a valuable professional development opportunity for a select number of master’s and Ph.D. students engaged in research throughout the College of Engineering.

  • Professional, one-on-one and small-group coaching over a period of two months.
  • Improved public speaking skills and increased confidence in communicating your work.
  • Opportunity to demonstrate your research and presentation skills before a general audience and to network with attendees, including college alumni and donors, industry partners, and campus leaders.
  • A professional video recording of your presentation, featured on the College of Engineering website, which you may share with prospective future employers or mentors.
