Wesley Deason has built his career around advancing clean energy and expanding the possibilities of nuclear technology. After graduating from ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State University, he joined the Center for Space Nuclear Research at Idaho National Laboratory, contributing to NASA’s space nuclear technology development and supporting industry engagement. He later worked with INL’s Integrated Energy Systems group, helping explore how advanced nuclear systems can pair with renewable energy to decarbonize complex industrial sectors.
Deason then served a two‑year appointment at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, where he researched the role of flexibility in fully renewable energy systems, publishing his findings in a peer‑reviewed journal.
He is now manager of the Pylon Program at Ultra Safe Nuclear Corp. in Seattle, supporting government space‑nuclear initiatives and leading development of a commercial, space‑capable nuclear system architecture. Throughout his career, Deason has remained committed to expanding access to clean, sustainable energy.
