Biography

BSCE 1949 - CCE

Sid Lasswell joined the young CH2M company immediately upon graduation. One of the 12 original partners in the firm, he later served as Senior Vice President and four times on the CH2M Hill Board of Directors. A professional engineer in three states, he worked on over 2,500 wastewater projects involving domestic and industrial waste collection and treatment for a total equivalent population of over one hundred million persons, including the award-winning Lake Tahoe Water Reclamation Plant. Mr. Lasswell pioneered the development and use of innovative equipment such as rubber-gasketed joints for sewer pipe, variable speed pumping, glass-lined pipe, and improved sampling equipment. A long-time friend of OSU, Sid has served for five years on the Industrial Advisory Board for the CCEE Environmental Engineering Program.
