Samuel Herman Graf received five degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State, culminating with the MS in Electrical Engineering. He was a faculty member at ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State for 46 years (1908-54). He was associated with the Engineering Experiment Station for nearly all of his career. He was head of the Department of Mechanics and Materials from 1920-34 and of the Department of Mechanical Engineering from 1934 to 1949. Sam Graf is remembered very clearly by former students, some of whom are being honored here today. He was a demanding professor and a true ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ Stater. He was honored in 1966 by the American Society for Testing and Materials for 55 years of service to ASTM and the engineering world.
