Biography

Rick Reid received BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering and served for two years as 1st Lieutenant and platoon leader in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He worked for Standard Oil as a research associate before joining CH2M HILL, where he worked collectively for 37 years, beginning as a design and air pollution control engineer and later becoming a department manager and mechanical discipline group director.

In 1984, Reid and several colleagues founded Industrial Design & Construction, a CH2M HILL subsidiary, serving until 2002 as Vice President, Director of Operations, Chief Engineer, and Project Manager/Director, and growing the company from 40 to 1,500 employees. He also served on the Industry Advisory Board for the OSU Department of Mechanical Engineering. Now retired, he enjoys golf and Corvette restoration.
