Biography

Mohammad Jamshidi’s career in academia includes a PhD from the University of Illinois, honorary doctoral degrees from Azerbaijan National University and the University of Waterloo, numerous professorships, and most recently an appointment as the Lutcher Brown Endowed Chair Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas in San Antonio. He has more than 500 technical publications including 12 textbooks and has performed editorial roles for several academic journals. Mo is a fellow of ASME, AAAS, and IEEE and has received the IEEE Centennial Medal, Control Systems Society Distinguished Member Award and the CSS Millennium Award. He is currently on the Board of Governors and is vice president of the IEEE Society on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics.
