Biography

Jo Danko graduated from OSU with a master’s in chemical engineering in 1985. He was the Business Group Manager of CH2M HILL’s Northwest Region from 1994 to 1999, where he had operations responsibility for the company’s energy, environment, and systems business across ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Danko led a CH2M HILL team in forming Kakivik Asset Management, a limited liability company established in 1999 to perform corrosion inspection and testing services for the oil and gas industry in Alaska, including the contract to oversee operation of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.

In 2003, Danko led the implementation of a Byproduct Synergy project for Dow Chemical in the Gulf Coast. He is now a chemical engineer in CH2M HILL’s Energy, Chemicals, and Industrial Services Business Group and the program manager of the company’s Oilsands engineering support and operations program, where he co-manages operations of heavy oil plants in northern Alberta.
