Biography

Following graduation from OSU, John Loosley worked for the cities of Astoria and Roseburg. In 1955, he went to work for the Roseburg Paving Company, and in 1965 he purchased the company. In August 2000, the Loosley family sold Roseburg Paving, and their other businesses — Beaver State Sand and Gravel, and Beaver State Ready Mix— to MDU Resources. John has been active in community and professional organizations. He serves on the board of directors of Families First, the Wildlife Safari, the Community Cancer Foundation, and Sunrise Enterprises. He also served on the board of directors of Douglas National Bank, was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Roseburg, was on the board of the ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and served on the National Asphalt Paving Association Board of Directors.
