Jeff Duncan graduated magna cum laude from Chemical Engineering and completed the university honors program. He served in the Navy for four years after graduation, and was involved in applications of nuclear engineering and nuclear submarines. He continued to serve in the Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander, receiving the Navy Achievement Medal while attached to the Reserve in Portland, and the National Defense Service Medal for support during Desert Shield/Desert Storm operations in 1991-92. Jeff worked for PGE, Reidel Environmental Technologies, and Offsite Energy Inc. before moving to the Nalio Chemical Company in Illinois as a technical sales/service representative.
Mr. Duncan's career exemplifies excellence in diverse aspects of chemical engineering. Tragically, his outstanding career was cut short in 1994 when he died of cancer at age 37.
