Biography

Janet G. McFadden is recognized for her work in the area of transportation and packaging of radioactive materials. She is currently the Program Manager for National Transportation and Defense Programs at Waste Management Federal Services, Inc., Northwest Operations (WMNW) of Richland, Washington (formerly the Westinghouse Hanford Company). She received her BS in Nuclear Engineering from ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State in 1992 and went on directly to earn her MS in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Cincinnati in 1994. At WMNW she has been responsible for team development, personnel, contracts, procurement, and quality assurance program development. Janet McFadden's expertise includes the preparation and review of transportation risk assessments, radiological risk evaluations, shielding analysis, gas generation studies, and criticality analysis.
