BSIE 1984 - MIMEJim A. Johnson joined Intel in 1984 after receiving his BS degree with honors in Industrial Engineering from OSU. He is currently Vice President, Intel Communications Group, and General Manager, Wireless Networking Group. In this capacity Johnson leads the team responsible for the architecture, design, development, and marketing of Intel’s Wireless LAN solutions. Previously, Johnson was General Manager of Intel’s Platform Networking group where he held various engineering and management assignments. Johnson was on the team that launched Intel into the networking business. He was responsible for the initial production of networking products at sites in the United States and Puerto Rico. Johnson is also a member of the OSU College of Engineering Advisory Board. He was previously inducted into the Council of Early Outstanding Engineers in 1999.
