Biography
Vice President of R&D and Chief Technology Officer, Stryker Endoscopy, San Jose, California
He invented the first 3-chip medical camera used in endoscopes and previously invented the first 1-chip, solid-state camera using the metal oxide semiconductor pick-up device. He holds many patents and has received numerous awards, including the Pioneer in Endoscopy Award from the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons in 2001, and most recently the Stryker Best Product Award in 2003. At age 14 he won Singapore鈥檚 鈥淢ost Ingenious Creation of Technology鈥 competition, and at age 16, he started his own business repairing televisions and other appliances.
