David Skillern graduated with a bachelor’s in business and technology in 1976. He earned a master’s in management from Marylhurst University. He is the director for service readiness and engineering with Network Appliance, Inc., a world leader in unified storage solutions for the data-intensive enterprise based in Sunnyvale, California.
He has previously worked as a principal senior consultant at Service Strategies Corporation (San Diego) and Sunriver Group LLC (Austin, Texas), as well as vice president for product operations and services at Agillion, Inc. and vice president and general manager for the Customer Support Division at Mentor Graphics. Skillern spent 15 years at Mentor where he much of his time was devoted to overseeing support centers in international offices. He has been a member of the College of Engineering Advisory Board since 1998.
