David J. Allstot received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Portland in 1969, and a doctoral degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1979. He has held industrial positions with Tektronix, MOSTEK, and Texas Instruments, and academic positions with ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State, Carnegie Mellon, and Arizona State Universities. David joined the University of Washington in 1999, and was appointed as the Boeing-Egtvedt Chair Professor of Engineering in 2000. David has served as editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II, and also as a three-time guest editor of the IEEE J. Solid-State Circuits. He was general co-chair of the 2002 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, is a member of Eta Kappa Nu and Sigma Xi, and is a fellow of IEEE.
