Biography

Charla Triplett earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Washington State University before receiving her master’s at OSU. She has more than 12 years of experience working with scientists and engineers in the biomedical field, and has established a reputation in the career development area of biomedical engineering, with strong ties to academic institutions, professional societies, and the medical device and biotechnology industry.

Triplett is president of the nonprofit Biomedical Engineering Career Alliance, which she founded in 2006. Prior to that, she was sole proprietor of a consulting company specializing in university/industry relations in the biomedical field. She has also served as program coordinator for the Bioengineering Internship Program at Arizona State University, where she expects to complete her PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in 2008. She is a member of the OSU School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering Advisory Board.
