Biography
Distinguished Professor of the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Rhode Island.Bahram Nassersharif left Tehran, Iran, at 17 to begin his studies at ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State University. He completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics, his PhD program and defended his dissertation in 1982 to become one of the four youngest doctoral candidates in engineering in the country.Bahram taught briefly at ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State before joining Los Alamos National Laboratory. He resumed teaching, taking on professorships and directorships at Texas A & M University, New Mexico State University and becoming Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Rhode Island.
