Transfer students are an important part of the College of Engineering community. Students from across ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ and the Northwest choose ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓfor its commitment to education, research, and creating an engineering community that values diversity and inclusion.

What is a transfer student?

  • Completed a minimum of 24 quarter (16 semester) graded, transferable credits from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Admitted to ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓthrough an official application.
  • Obtained a high school diploma or equivalent over one year ago.

You can enroll at ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State while still attending an ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ community college. Through ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State’s , you can be jointly admitted and enrolled at ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State and any of our .

¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ and Hawaii community college transfer students

Most of the lower-division coursework for engineering degrees can be completed at community colleges throughout ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ.  for ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ and Hawaii community college students are available from the ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State admissions office. Transfers from outside ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ and Hawaii

If you are transferring to ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State from outside ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ or from an institution that is not shown on the , you can instead use the  to understand how your credits will transfer. Additional information on credit transfers

Some courses from other institutions will transfer with course designations LDT or UDT, indicating lower-division or upper-division transfer courses for which we are not aware of a direct equivalent at ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State; however, many of these courses can still apply toward degree requirements.

Transfer Student Guides

Articulation guides are provided to assist transfer students in planning coursework efficiently. Every effort is made to keep these guides up to date, but the curriculum is always evolving. Students transferring to OSU will be required to complete the degree requirements outlined in the catalog for the year they matriculated.
