Humanitarian Engineering

Engineering solutions to global challenges

Engineering with a Purpose

Our humanitarian engineering program fosters a deep commitment to serving others, emphasizing education, service-learning approaches, and research.

Our pioneering faculty have guided students on impactful service-learning trips to under-resourced communities both abroad and in the U.S., collaborating with community leaders to create sustainable engineering solutions.

Undergraduates can pursue a minor or a certificate in humanitarian engineering. Although there is no transcript-visible graduate option, graduate students from various disciplines can participate in the humanitarian engineering program, further enriching the collaborative spirit of our mission.
